Are you as sick as I am of governments taking the easy road on moralistic issues? Using half truths, complete lies and disinformation is the way of politicians, pressure groups and head up your a** individuals I know but it doesn't help when people need an informed view. Propaganda is a tool of the trade but free speeech is the counterweight. I hope, lol.

My take.

"Cannabis is stronger now than it's ever been".

Absolute rubbish. Cannabis farmers have been cultivating plants for thousands of years producing plants that have the power of lysurgic acid. I remember a hippy friend of mine coming back from Malawi (Africa) 40 years ago with a camper full of Malawi cobs. The first kilo he laid on somebody was returned to him the next day the very stoned buyer accusing him of spraying it with above mentioned LSD. I was a merchant seaman for years and have tried cannabis from every continent. Strength I found was usually associated with location. The strongest being closest to the equator although there are a few notable exceptions. I could quote you a dozen examples where I have found cannabis of a strength that todays home grown wouldn't compare.
The tuth of the matter is that home grown cannabis, usually skunk, is now on a par with cannabis grown in tropical countries. This might not have happened if people had been able to buy foriegn grown products easily and cheaply.

This section is not a untruth but just putting the possible facts in some sort of context.

"Cannabis causes mental illness."

Now there's no doubt in my mind that this is true in a number of cases. What percentage of users suffer is another matter. I do think that the younger you are the more likely this could happen. Obviously this is subject to amounts used as well. I don't think excessive use by underdevoloped minds is a good idea as use of any drug at an early age would be. On devoloped minds though reasonable use can be a good experience with a few benefits thrown in. Music, art, comedy and many more creative processes would be missing a lot of wonderful pieces if cannabis hadn't been involved.

I could go on and on but it's not my intention to give you the idea that I am promoting cannabis or any other mindbending substance. I happen to think that prohibition of anything is a bad idea but making things illegal is more to do with lack of control by authorities than anything else. The two most popular drugs, alcohol and nicotine being the ones that prove the point. If there's money involved morals fly out the window.

Law and order has become a business these days and any prohibition, illegality and moral posturing by authorities should be viewed with great suspicion. If you have any views you would like to post I would be glad to hear them but please take a reasonable approach and check your facts before you post because I will, lol.

I wish you all well and may tolerance on all matters be your shining light. Have a great day.
